We’re excited to announce several key updates and improvements to our platform, aimed at enhancing user experience, increasing productivity for developers, and providing more robust and flexible device management solutions.
Here’s what’s new:
1. New Remote Access Infrastructure
To take advantage of our new remote access infrastructure, devices must be updated to the latest version of the qbee-agent (2024.09). This update is crucial for enabling the new features and improvements.
As a part of this update, we also introducing multi-regions VPN entry points. This allows us to lower the latency and provide a faster connection between devices and VPN servers.
2. “Run Agent” Functionality
Developers can now remotely trigger the execution of qbee-agent, streamlining workflows and significantly boosting productivity. This feature requires both the qbee-agent 2024.09 and the new remote access to be enabled.
3. Storage and File Handling Enhancements
We have increased the default storage quota to 7GB, allowing for more data storage and management flexibility. The maximum size for a single file upload has been also increased to 5GB, accommodating larger datasets and files (e.g. firmware RAUC bundles).
4. OTA Adaptive A/B Updates with RAUC integration
Our platform now supports OTA Adaptive A/B Updates using RAUC, providing enhanced control and audit features, facilitating more reliable and seamless updates.
RAUC is a lightweight update client that runs on your Embedded Linux device and reliably controls the procedure of updating your device with a new firmware revision.
5. Qbee-Connect 1.2.2 Release
The latest release of qbee-connect (1.2.2) includes support for the new remote access infrastructure, ensuring compatibility and enhancing connectivity options.
6. Device Analysis Pie Chart
A new pie chart feature allows for the visualization of the distribution of values across analyzed devices, focusing on architecture and release. Support for additional columns will be introduced in future updates.
7. Minor Enhancements.
We’ve made several minor UI improvements to enhance the user experience, making navigation and interaction with the platform smoother and more intuitive.
