At qbee, we believe that great technology deserves great storytelling and smart distribution. That’s why we’re excited to introduce our new Digital Marketing & Automation Lead, Geir Nordheim Helstad. With over a decade of experience across performance marketing, automation, and data-driven growth strategies, Geir brings the creativity, energy, and hands-on expertise that will help qbee reach new customers and markets.
Why Qbee and Why Now?
I’ve always been fascinated by how technology can solve real-world problems. When I came across qbee, I immediately saw its potential, not just as a product, but as a platform that could reshape how companies manage IoT devices at scale. For me, the opportunity to connect that technology with the right customers through smart, data-driven marketing was too exciting to pass up.
I’ve worked across the marketing spectrum for more than 10 years. Leading campaigns, building automation frameworks, and helping companies scale through performance marketing. My passion lies in combining creativity with measurable results: I love experimenting with new channels, but I’m equally obsessed with the numbers that prove what works. At qbee, I get to combine both. Using automation, content, and performance marketing to tell our story and drive growth globally.
What focus areas will you prioritize for the road ahead?
Our main priorities are brand awareness, clear positioning in the IoT space, and building strong inbound and outbound funnels. That means sharpening our web presence, automating our nurturing journeys, and running campaigns that speak directly to the real challenges our customers face. Just as important, we’ll invest in nurturing the broader IoT and Linux communities, by sharing insights, engaging in discussions, and contributing where practitioners already are.
How do you ensure that marketing stays aligned with business goals?
Marketing is never about vanity metrics. It’s about pipeline and customer value. I make sure marketing aligns with business goals by working closely with sales and product, using data to track what truly moves the needle, and continuously refining based on feedback. Every campaign should contribute either to building brand equity or driving measurable demand.
You need three things: a clear narrative, the right tools, and a culture of iteration. A clear narrative ensures everyone knows what we stand for. The right tools, analytics and performance platforms let us execute efficiently. And iteration means we’re always testing, learning, and improving.
What Can Customers Expect from you?
I hope they notice clarity and authenticity. Marketing can often get lost in buzzwords, but my goal is for every piece of communication from qbee to feel relevant, concrete, and useful. Whether it’s a case study, a webinar, or an ad, I want customers to see content that speaks directly to their challenges.
Equally important, I believe qbee should have a clear and consistent voice in both the broader IoT community and the Linux/open source ecosystem. That means not only publishing our own insights, but actively participating in forums, discussions, and events where engineers and decision-makers already exchange ideas. By engaging openly in these communities—sharing knowledge, contributing perspectives, and listening closely—we strengthen trust and position qbee as a genuine partner. Our goal is to be seen not just as a vendor, but as an active contributor to the growth and maturity of IoT and Linux-based device management.
Marketing isn’t just about pushing content, it’s also about listening. Every campaign, every interaction, and every conversation with customers is an opportunity to learn. By analyzing responses, tracking engagement, and talking directly with prospects, we can capture valuable insights about what resonates and where the friction points are.
This feedback doesn’t stop at the marketing team. It flows back into product development, helping us refine the platform, improve the user experience, and align more closely with real customer needs. In that way, marketing becomes a bridge: connecting our community’s voice with qbee’s product roadmap and ensuring we continuously evolve in the right direction.
